Questions & answers

Everything you might want to know

KSOL is free, human-curated live radio — pick your energy and press play. Here's the short version of how it works.

What is KSOL?

KSOL is a small set of curated live radio channels. Every station is a continuous stream of music picked by people, not generated by an algorithm — you choose the energy you're after, press play, and let it run.

Is KSOL free?

Yes. Every station streams for free with no ads. Open a station, press play — there's nothing to pay for and nothing to sign up for.

Do I need an account?

No — listening never requires an account. You only sign in (with Google) if you want the tracks you flame saved so they follow you across devices on your Flamed tracks page.

What stations are there?

There are 8 live stations spanning house, techno, jazz-hop, disco, psytrance and more: Today, I am just a cloud, Shut up and enjoy the sunset, From the valleys of Kasol, Summer's Here, Suno Toh Sahi, Can't Stop Bopping, Someone Called It Bright Techno, Techno, but harder. Each runs its own around-the-clock stream.

What does the flame button do?

Flaming a track is how you vote for it. The more a song gets flamed, the higher it climbs the Top Charts — and if you're signed in, it's saved to your Flamed tracks so you can find it again.

What are the Top Charts?

The Top Charts are the most-flamed tracks across every KSOL station — ranked by listeners, not by an algorithm. It's a live snapshot of what the community is loving right now.

Can I listen on my phone? Is there an app?

Yes. KSOL works in any mobile browser, and you can install it to your home screen as an app (a PWA) — it opens full-screen like a native app, with no app store required.

Does it work offline?

The app shell is cached so KSOL loads instantly and even opens offline — but the stations themselves are live audio, so playback needs a connection.

Who picks the music?

People do. Every station is hand-curated — there's no recommendation engine and no personalization loop deciding what you hear next.

How is KSOL different from Spotify or Apple Music?

KSOL isn't a library you search or a feed tuned to you — it's live radio. You choose a mood, press play, and hear the same human-curated stream as everyone else tuned in. No playlists to build, no algorithm learning your taste.

I own music you're playing — how do I get it removed?

Email dmca@ksol.live with the track and proof of ownership, and we'll take it down within 48 hours. Full details are on the DMCA page.

How do I suggest a track or station, or get in touch?

We'd love to hear it — email hello@ksol.live with a song, a station idea, or anything else.
